PROGRAM
This longtime holiday crowd pleaser will faithfully delight audiences with a magical mix of Russian carols, Christmas classics, beloved sing-alongs, and popular holiday standards. Joined by the world-acclaimed 80-piece Ural Philharmonic Orchestra directly from the Russian Federation, this Russian feast for the ears is the only way to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year.
The December 24 concert also features a 45-minute bonus orchestral performance of Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade following the conclusion of the normal concert programming.
“This [Ural Philharmonic] Orchestra with its performing, concentrated on rhythm, audio colours and bold dynamism has never been heard in the Geneva Victoria Hall. As if the public, enchanted by the sounds of strings and brasses of the Orchestra conducted by Dmitry Liss, was at the birth of the most brilliant features of the music culture of the West-European continent." Switzerland’s Tribune de Genève
