The Norman Scribner Fund honors the ongoing legacy of
Founder and Artistic Director Norman Scribner. The Fund celebrates Maestro Scribner’s leadership and supports the artistic programming, innovation and creativity of The Choral Arts Society of Washington.

Mahler Cycle: Conducted by Valery Gergiev, Choral Arts will perform Mahler’s Symphony No. 8, “Symphony of a Thousand” and Symphony No. 2, “Resurrection” with the Mariinsky Orchestra and Spain’s Orfeón Pamplonés on October 19-21 at the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall.

Choral Music 101: Norman will guide the audience through his choral playlist in this unique educational concert experience on November 14, 2010 at 4:00pm at Rachel M. Schlesinger Hall.

Olli Kortekangas Commission: Choral Arts will perform Finn composer Olli Kortekangas’ world premiere commission on May 22, 2011 at the Kennedy Center. The piece celebrates our precious Earth and its relationship with humanity.
