Monday, April 04, 2016
The Choral Arts Society of Washington (Choral Arts) today announced its 2016-2017 season. Choral Arts will present its first-ever solely produced performance of Berlioz’s Requiem on November 20, 2016 in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall and has also commissioned Jake Runestad to compose a new work to be performed in conjunction with Mozart’s Requiem on April 23, 2017. “We are thrilled that the 2016-2017 season lineup incorporates a mix of beloved choral masterworks, first-ever performances and exclusive new pieces. Music on this scale is best experienced live in the concert hall,” said Scott Tucker, Artistic Director.
