Reporting to the Board of Directors and co-leading the organization with the Artistic Director, the Executive Director is the chief administrative and operations leader of Choral Arts. This individual will determine, oversee, and execute the strategic and operational efficiencies of administrative programs and staff. The Executive Director serves as a strategic partner with the Artistic Director to energize donors to invest in Choral Arts, and engage new and existing audiences, organizational partnerships, and board members. The Executive Director will work closely with the Artistic Director and the broader community to strengthen and grow the organization’s impact and sustainability. This individual will passionately articulate both the benefits and needs of the organization, engaging directly in robust conversations with constituents and stakeholders.
To all collegiate choral musicians or recent graduates:
Part of the new mission at Choral Arts is to provide pre-professionals the opportunity to expand their repertoire and to allow them to gain more valuable and meaningful experiences. We are excited to extend to star university students and recent graduates the opportunity to sing Carmina Burana with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Filene Center as a part of the Wolf Trap Festival. Selected students will sing with Choral Arts in rehearsal with our artistic director, Marie Bucoy-Calavan, and the performance under the direction of Tianyu Liu. This is an extension of our current pilot for the Choral Arts Choral Scholar program. For their efforts and talents, in addition to this opportunity, they will also be given a $500 stipend for attendance at all preparatory rehearsals and the performance.
The rehearsal and performance schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, July 8 7:30-10:00pm
Saturday, July 12 10:30am-1:00pm
Tuesday, July 15 7:30-10:00pm
Saturday, July 19 10:30am-1:00pm

Wednesday, July 23 TBD Orchestra Rehearsal at KCCH

We are extending this opportunity to all voice parts, but tenors and basses are especially encouraged to apply.
Choral Arts interns become critical members of our administrative team as we create choral experiences that move people to find shared purpose, discover shared passion, and connect with the music within themselves.
They experience working at a small performing arts non-profit while gaining valuable skills and knowledge that are transferrable to a wide range of careers in the performing arts and beyond.
Internships are available in the following areas:
Artistic and Production:
Ensemble management, artist relations, library management, special events and trip planning, and concert and backstage management
Development (Fundraising):
Grant research and writing, annual fund administration, special event planning, donor relations, program development, and patron services
Marketing and Public Relations:
Event marketing, media relations, social media, graphic design, website development and analytics, email marketing, and patron services
Applications are accepted throughout the year for fall, spring, and summer internships. Custom programs that incorporate multiple departments will be considered.
Internships are primarily in-person with a hybrid on a case by case basis. Remote internships are not available at this time.
To apply, email a resume, cover letter indicating desired internship areas, and writing sample to jaubry@choralarts.org.
The following volunteer opportunities with Choral Arts may be available throughout the year:
