Oktoberfest Community Sing

Raise a glass and your voice! Join us for our special Oktoberfest Community Sing, in celebration of our partnership year with the German Embassy.

We’ll sing everything from German favorites like Du, du liegst mir im Herzen and Das Fliegerlied to festive selections from the “Beer Choir Hymnal.” But we’ll also make some unmistakably Choral Arts music together, including the beloved fourth movement of Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem and our Choral Arts anthem, The Road Home.

Don’t speak German? Keine Sorge! We’ll help everyone with the German along the way. (The beer will help, too.)

Your $15 ticket includes admission and your first beer, with a cash bar available throughout the evening for additional drinks, snacks, and food. And since it’s Oktoberfest opening weekend, dirndls and lederhosen are enthusiastically encouraged!

Whether you are a seasoned choral singer or just love belting out a tune with a cold drink in hand, all are welcome. No pressure, no masterclasses—just pure communal singing and festive fun!

• Festive Music & Good Times: A high-energy, casual afternoon led by our Artistic Director Dr. Marie Bucoy-Calavan and Assistant Conductor Shannon Arnold.

• Community Vibe: Bring your friends, bring your appetite, and get ready to sing your heart out in one of DC’s favorite bier halls.
